Greg Purdy
Senior Vice President, Marine Operations
Royal Caribbean International

Gregory Purdy is Senior Vice President of Marine Operations for Royal Caribbean International. Prior to this role, Purdy served as Senior Vice President of Operations for the line’s sister brand, Celebrity Cruises. In this role, Purdy oversaw all of the Marine and Hotel operations for the line.  Previously, Purdy served as Vice President of Marine Operations for Celebrity Cruises.

Purdy joined Royal Caribbean International in 2001 to manage its safety training program. His responsibilities grew to encompass the company’s safety and environmental programs; development of comprehensive fleet quality assurance systems; and coordination with authorities for the numerous innovative aspects of Celebrity's Solstice Class ships.

Prior to joining the company, Purdy served 15 years in the U. S. Coast Guard, where he specialized in shipboard operations and fleet management. His experience includes ship command. He is a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He also earned a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.

Purdy serves on the Board of Directors of Children's Harbor, a non-profit organization in Broward County assisting children and families.
