VANUATU, Nov. 24, 2025 – Royal Caribbean is celebrating its return to Vanuatu with the launch of its Royal Voyagers and Royal Mariners program. These new initiatives, which are being kicked off in Vanuatu and will then launch globally, are designed to connect local students with cruise tourism and maritime careers. Offering immersive ship tours and hands-on learning experiences onboard Royal Caribbean ships, the program supports the company’s commitment to community engagement and environmental stewardship.
About the Programs
The first activity took place on 24 November with Saint Joseph Primary School in Port Vila when Anthem of the Seas made her return to Vanuatu to mark the start of the summer season.
“We are thrilled that students will have a unique opportunity to step onboard Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas,” said Nanise Lapi, Director, Department of Education. “Programs like Royal Caribbean’s Royal Voyagers and Royal Mariners programs help children understand the importance of cruise tourism and sustainability for our islands.”
“Cruise tourism is an important part of Vanuatu’s economy, and programs like Royal Caribbean’s educational ship tour programs can help inspire future tourism leaders. By giving students hands-on experiences and a window into maritime careers, we’re building pathways for the next generation to thrive in tourism”, said Paul Pio, Director, Department of Tourism.
Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas has kicked off its debut Australian season and is sailing from its new home in Sydney. Royal Caribbean ships will visit Vanuatu 37 times this 25-26 summer season.
Additional schools and dates will be announced as the program expands.
