SHANGHAI, April 16, 2026 – Royal Caribbean has unveiled an exciting new lineup of adventures on Spectrum of the Seas for the 2027-28 season. Spanning a record 22 destinations across Asia’s most sought-after locales, the experiences range from 3- to 11-night getaways – from short weekend escapes and festive holiday sailings to longer, more immersive journeys throughout the region. Vacationers can explore a variety of diverse destinations, including East Asia’s vibrant capitals, winter landscapes in Sapporo (Muroran), Japan, volcanic landscapes in Jeju (Seogwipo), South Korea, historic sites at Da Nang (Chan May) and Hue in Vietnam, and trending hotspots like Busan, South Korea, and Mount Fuji, Japan. Bookings for the 2027-28 season are now available on Royal Caribbean’s website.

“This new lineup reflects our continued commitment to the China market and our ambition to deliver more diverse and immersive vacations,” said Benjamin Bouldin, President, Royal Caribbean, Greater China. “On Spectrum of the Seas, vacationers can enjoy a wide range of experiences for all ages – including ways to thrill and chill, dine and drink, and be entertained for unforgettable moments with family and friends. These longer, more immersive itineraries are designed to meet the evolving preferences of Chinese vacationers seeking deeper connections with loved ones, while also enabling international travelers to easily explore Asia’s most iconic destinations and seasonal highlights from China.”

All-New Immersive Longer Adventures

Vacationers have new ways to explore Asia on Spectrum with 8- to 10-night journeys from Shanghai, Tokyo and Hong Kong, visiting multiple breathtaking destinations in one adventure. For the first time, guests can sail one way between cities – starting or ending their journey in Tokyo – creating more flexible travel options and the ability to explore multiple destinations on a single vacation. Designed around Asia’s most iconic seasonal moments, the lineup offers opportunities to travel throughout every time of year, including:

  • Spring Blossom Journey – In May 2027, vacationers can embark on adventures across China, Japan and South Korea to witness the region’s spring bloom season, from Beijing’s peonies to Fukuoka’s wisteria in Japan and Jeju’s hydrangeas. For those who want to explore further, Spectrum will feature overnight stays in Beijing (Tianjin), giving travelers two full days to delve deep into North China’s rich history and culture.
  • Autumn Foliage Escape In October 2027, travelers can experience vibrant fall landscapes with visits to Seoul (Incheon), South Korea, and Sapporo (Muroran) featuring spectacular autumn foliage.
  • For even more immersive experiences, travelers can embark on 8-night adventures featuring overnight stays in Osaka and Tokyo, two of Japan’s most electrifying cities.

Weekend Escapes and Summer Getaways

There are more ways to be immersed in the region with shorter escapes from Shanghai and Hong Kong to top island destinations, including:

  • Vacationers can unwind on short 3- to 4-night escapes with visits to the magical Cheonjiyeon Falls in Jeju (Seogwipo) and South Korea’s world-renowned seafood markets in Busan.
  • Plus, a variety of 5- to 8-night summer getaways introduces more ways to vacation during the peak travel season to hotspots like Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul (Incheon), Busan and Jeju (Seogwipo), offering vibrant cityscapes and cultural discoveries or sun-soaked days of water adventures, relaxation, and lively summer experiences.

Festive Sailings from Hong Kong

For local vacationers and international travelers looking to celebrate the holidays in Asia’s most dynamic destinations, the lineup from Hong Kong features seasonal unique adventures, including:

  • Guests can choose from three holiday getaways during Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s for onboard celebrations and seasonal scenery. Vacationers sailing during Spectrum’s Thanksgiving 11-night adventure can experience destinations like Busan; Jeju (Seogwipo); Nagasaki, Japan; and Kagoshima, Japan. Travelers exploring the region during Christmas can sail for nine nights to top destinations including Fukuoka, Busan and Nagasaki. And to ring in the New Year, guests can visit Okinawa (Naha), Japan, in an overnight 5-night adventure. The adventures also feature activities, such as whale watching and the chance to spot early cherry blossoms.
  • Beyond holiday sailings, the Hong Kong season expands access to destinations such as Hue and Da Nang (Chan May) in Vietnam, giving travelers more ways to explore the region alongside onboard entertainment and cuisine inspired by the season.

On Spectrum of the Seas, adventurers of all ages can experience thrill and chill with signature experiences like the North Star all-glass observation capsule, RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator, a rock-climbing wall and SeaPlex – the largest indoor activity space at sea featuring bumper cars and more. Plus, families can experience world-class entertainment with original productions and enjoy regionally inspired cuisine at Hot Pot, Teppanyaki, Sichuan Red and more. Perfect for families, Spectrum is designed so everyone can enjoy their time their way – from dedicated water play areas for kids to relaxation zones for adults, along with childcare services that give parents more freedom to make the most of their vacation.
