November 2021 - Royal Caribbean International celebrated its new game-changing ship, Odyssey of the Seas, during the ship’s naming ceremony in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday, Nov. 13. Erin Brown, Odyssey’s Godmother and the first Bahamian paratriathlete to compete in the Paralympic Games qualifiers, bestowed a blessing of safekeeping on the ship and all those who sail on it for decades to come.

The celebratory occasion took place at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday, Nov. 13.

Available by reservation only, these private lounge spots offer seclusion and relaxation. Perks include a welcome mimosa, chilled hand towels, luxury loungers, charging capabilities and a service button that directly calls a dedicated bar server at The Lime & Coconut poolside bar.

On board Odyssey of the Seas is a bold, new Adventure Ocean. The robust program is designed exclusively for kids up to 12 years old. At AO Babies, the youngest of travelers – 6 to 36 months old – have a dedicated space to engage their imaginations with story time, games and more.

The upscale Grand Loft Suite aboard Odyssey of the Seas offers two levels of luxury. Complete with a dedicated Royal Genie, dining at the exclusive suites-only restaurant, Coastal Kitchen; access to the Suite Deck and more, the lineup of suites aboard Odyssey offers guests Royal Caribbean’s signature Royal Suite Class experience.

Introducing Virtual Adventure Zone, the first fully immersive 4D virtual reality experience at sea. The high-tech, free-roaming journey uses the latest technology to take gamers on an adventure to another dimension. Special effects, like wind vibrations and sound-enhancing features, bring to life a truly multisensory journey for every guest.

Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar debuts on board Odyssey of the Seas. The authentic, family style dining experience serves up a menu of favorites – like an array of handcrafted pizzas, charcuterie boards and pastas – as many as 50 wines by the glass and classic Italian cocktails with a twist, including a negroni and aperol spritz.

Tastebuds are in for a ride on board Odyssey of the Seas. El Loco Fresh is an on-the-go, poolside eatery that serves up tasty Mexican fare. The menu includes made-to-order tacos, burritos, quesadillas and more – even a salsa and toppings station

Odyssey of the Seas features stunning art from bow to stern. Monumental sculptures, textured paintings, interactive works and more engage all the senses. Flow, created by Czech artist Lasvit, is a sculpture of Bohemian handblown glass and polished gold metal that takes center stage in the ship’s Via.
