Royal Caribbean Reveals Next-Level Adventures on Navigator of the Seas

Short getaways are in for a double dose of adventure. Royal Caribbean International is amping things up on 3- to 4-night Caribbean cruises with new, record-breaking experiences coming to a reimagined Navigator of the Seas. With a $115 million modernization, Navigator will offer vacationers a lineup of firsts and Royal Caribbean favorites, including an awe-inspiring Caribbean poolscape, two daring waterslides, the first blow dry bar at sea, Insta-worthy nightlife and dining, and thrilling activities for the whole family.

Creating Next-Level Adventures: Royal Caribbean Delivers Firsts and Favorites on Navigator of the Seas

A $115 million modernization gives way to off-the-charts adventure on Royal Caribbean’s reimagined Navigator of the Seas, where friends and families will make the most of their short getaways with a variety of new experiences for all ages. Go behind the scenes for a look at the construction process as a team of 4,000 experts build The Blaster, longest aqua coaster at sea; Riptide, the industry’s only head-first mat racer; a Caribbean, resort-style poolscape; To Dry For, the first standalone blow dry bar at sea, plus vibrant, new restaurants and bars. In addition to sailing 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday itineraries, the amplified ship will be the first to visit Perfect Day at CocoCay – the cruise line’s highly anticipated private island in The Bahamas – come May 2019.

November 2023 – After more than seven years of dreaming, Royal Caribbean International’s highly anticipated Icon of the Seas has become a reality. The recently completed construction of the first-of-its-kind vacation took place over the course of 900 days in Turku, Finland, starting with the first cut of steel in June 2021. Icon of the Seas Construction Update: First Sea Trials Complete

June 2023 – The highly anticipated vacation, Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, is one step closer to its debut in January 2024. The all-new ship successfully sailed the open ocean for the first time after completing its first, crucial sea trials in Turku, Finland, where it is under construction at the Meyer Turku shipyard. During the key milestone, more than 450 specialists ran four days of preliminary tests on the first Icon Class ship’s technical areas, like the main engines, bow and propellers, and even noise and vibration levels – all in preparation for the second sea trials that will push Icon to its limits later this year.

May 2023 – Construction on Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas is progressing ahead of its highly anticipated debut in January 2024.
