Odyssey of the Seas to Debut in South Florida, Arriving July 2021

February 2021 - Straight from Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, here is a sneak peek at how construction is moving along for Royal Caribbean’s new, highly anticipated ship, Odyssey of the Seas. The innovative Quantum Ultra Class ship will tout a showstopping lineup of guest favorites and brand new experiences for vacationers of all ages, the North Star glass observation capsule, Ripcord by iFly skydiving and FlowRider surf simulators, The Lime & Coconut and the new Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar.

February 2019* – Royal Caribbean International marked the official start of construction by cutting the first piece of steel for its new Quantum Ultra Class ship, Odyssey of the Seas. Royal Caribbean’s next engineering marvel will sail summer 2021.

December 2023 – The next bold combination of every vacation, Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas, is on the horizon. From the beach retreat to the resort escape and the theme park adventure, there are experiences for every type of family and adventurer across eight neighborhoods that are destinations in themselves. The latest in the best-selling Icon Class lineup is set to debut in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, in August 2025, with 7-night vacations to the Caribbean and the cruise line’s top-rated private island – Perfect Day at CocoCay, The Bahamas.

September 2021 – Royal Caribbean International returns to California for the first time in more than a decade. Starting in November from Los Angeles, the cruise line’s amped-up Navigator of the Seas will offer travelers new ways to get away on short 3-, 4- and 5-night cruises to Catalina Island, California, and Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Guests of all ages can choose from a lineup of thrills and ways to chill on board Navigator, thanks to a $115 million amplification completed in 2019. The ship has been reimagined into the ultimate short getaway with a range of experiences and features like The Perfect Storm waterslides, including The Blaster – the longest aqua coaster at sea; a resort-style Caribbean pool deck, three-level signature bar The Lime & Coconut, the first blow-dry bar at sea – To Dry For, redesigned spaces dedicated to kids and teens, plus hotspots such as kitschy-cool tiki bar The Bamboo Room and Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade.

Sydney’s Taronga Zoo and Royal Caribbean International have joined forces on the Litter Free Oceans campaign to raise awareness about the devastating impact litter has on marine life and educate people on how to reduce single-use plastic. The newly formed partnership combines Taronga’s expertise in conservation education with Royal Caribbean’s commitment to healthy oceans and ability to reach ocean lovers of all ages.

Royal Caribbean activated the company’s disaster relief operation to bring relief supplies and 20,000 daily meals to the Grand Bahama Island community in Hurricane Dorian’s Aftermath.
