Wonder of the Seas Naming Ceremony EPK

December 2022 – In a celebration fit for the world’s newest wonder, Royal Caribbean International officially welcomed Wonder of the Seas into the family in its new year-round home of Port Canaveral, Florida. Godmother and Wonder Mom from Pennsylvania Marie McCrea bestowed a blessing of safekeeping on the new ship, its crew and all who sail on it. In the one-of-a-kind AquaTheater, she was joined by Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO Jason Liberty, Royal Caribbean International President and CEO Michael Bayley, and her daughter, Allie, who nominated her for the role as part of the TikTok search launched by the cruise line.

Introducing the Godmother of Wonder of the Seas

November 2022 – The world’s newest wonder now has its Wonder Mom. Following a widespread TikTok search that saw 16,000 videos submitted, Royal Caribbean has selected Pennsylvanian Marie McCrea as Wonder of the Seas’ Godmother. Nominated by her daughter, Marie is a devoted mother, wife and cancer survivor who has overcome adversity with incredible strength. She will accept the honor of blessing Wonder during a celebratory naming ceremony at its first year-round homeport of Port Canaveral, Florida, on Dec. 9, 2022. f

June 2022 – Where Southern comfort food meets Royal Caribbean International’s hospitality and creativity, The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar on board the new Wonder of the Seas is the latest restaurant to join the cruise line’s wide and global array of dining experiences. Families and travelers alike can enjoy Southern staples and new twists on classics for brunch, dinner and late at night in Meemaw’s “home,” a porch-like, warm setting with end-to-end ocean views, a dedicated bar, farmhouse-style decor and live country music.
