With an unmatched lineup, from restaurants to walkup windows, casual to upscale, live music to chefs who put on a show, all types of families and adventurers can have their pick of options for every occasion and mood.

New and Reimagined Family Experiences on Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas

April 2023 – Royal Caribbean International is taking family vacations to the next level when Icon of the Seas debuts in January 2024. Kids, teens and adults can make memories together and enjoy their own adventures from bow to stern. The thrills and ways to chill run the gamut, from new activities in Surfside like the Larger-than-Life Family Festival and the Steel Pan Family Jam hosted by Admiral Awesome – a newly created role in charge of the family experiences on board – and bolder favorites such as Adventure Ocean for the kids, teens’ Social 020, the Royal Escape Room and laser tag.

March 2023 – Royal Caribbean International’s revealing the first look at more than 15 bars and nightlife experiences coming to the world’s best vacation, Icon of the Seas, in January 2024. From live music, like two pianists going head-to-head, to bar hopping for coffee-infused cocktails or bubbly at a new walkup champagne bar, there are hot spots for every type of vacationer to celebrate. The lineup features brand-new firsts and reimagined favorites, the latest to be unveiled as part of Icon’s 40-plus ways to dine, drink and be entertained.

March 2023 – Royal Caribbean International’s unveiled more than 15 bars and nightlife experiences that will light up the highly anticipated Icon of the Seas when the sun sets. The food and beverage experts and innovators bringing the hot spots to life share the first details of what’s to come, whether vacationers are looking for live music, like two pianists going head-to-head, or to bar hop for sips of coffee-infused cocktails or bubbly at a new walkup champagne bar. The new and reimagined favorites are the latest to be revealed among the 40-plus ways to dine, drink and be entertained that will make for an unrivaled lineup when the world’s best vacation sets sail January 2024.

Royal Caribbean’s Making an Icon: Creating Thrill Island

February 2023 – Bold vacationers call for bold adventures, and Royal Caribbean is delivering that and more at the new Thrill Island on Icon of the Seas. The world’s best family vacation will feature never-before-seen experiences and signature favorites, from the largest waterpark at sea, Category 6, to the first Crown’s Edge – an adventure course 154 feet above the ocean. In “Making an Icon: Creating Thrill Island,” the innovators cover the adventures in store and how they are pushing the envelope on cruise ship design by adding more weight at the top of Icon with six record-breaking waterslides and more water than ever before. The thrill-o-meter will be off the charts for thrill-seekers and their families who cheer them on in this new neighborhood when Icon sets sail in January 2024.

January 2023 – The world’s greatest family vacation, Icon of the Seas, is taking memory-making to the next level for grownups, kids and even grandparents. And when it comes to young families, Royal Caribbean’s insights and feedback from adventurers inspired a whole new neighborhood. In “Making an Icon: Creating Surfside,” find out why and how the cruise line’s creating its first neighborhood dedicated to young families. The goal: to design a place where every family member can spend time together and do what they enjoy all the same. From different water experiences to new restaurants, even a bar with menus for adults and kids, to classic adventures with a twist like the signature carousel and an arcade, and the first three-story Ultimate Family Townhouse, Surfside is set to make a splash debut in January 2024.

New and Reimagined Ways to Dine and Celebrate on Utopia of the Seas

February 2024 – The ultimate short getaway, Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas is setting the table for memories and weekend energy with more than 40 ways to dine and celebrate any occasion. The world of flavors in store for vacationers include a new, one-of-a-kind adventure that combines food, technology and a train to travel to any place and time, a debut omakase-inspired private experience at the signature Izumi and new convenient, casual spots for quick bites like The Spare Tire. In summer 2024, Utopia makes it way to Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, to visit the cruise line’s top-rated Perfect Day at CocoCay and more year-round.
