Project Sunshine Steel Cutting and Name Announcement EPK

Royal Caribbean International took a major step this week in the development of the cruise line’s next generation of cruise ships when the first piece of steel was cut for the first of two Project Sunshine ships. The steel cutting took place at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, where the two ships will be built.

Royal Caribbean’s Ultimate Destinations Event Electronic Press Kit

May 2025 – Royal Caribbean is redefining vacations with its new lineup of ultimate destination experiences. Royal Caribbean and Inter Miami Team Up for Second Year of Granting Make-A-Wish Children’s Wishes B-roll

April 2025 - Royal Caribbean and Inter Miami CF joined forces again with Make-A-Wish to grant the wishes of 23 wish kids with a special four-day experience in South Florida. The magical experience kicked off with families spending an unforgettable day on the world’s best family vacation, Icon of the Seas, complete with a viewing of the first theatrical rendition of "The Wizard of Oz" at sea, thrills across six record-breaking slides at Category 6 waterpark and more. The wish kids and their families also made an exclusive visit to Inter Miami’s Chase Stadium to meet the Inter Miami squad and their captain Lionel Messi, where they enjoyed a behind-the-scenes viewing of the squad’s practice, quality time in their own private field-level suite and more.

Behind the Scenes of Star of the Seas: Installing the AquaDome

September 2024 – Going behind the scenes of Royal Caribbean’s construction of the highly anticipated Star of the Seas, the installation of the AquaDome’s 367-ton (332 tonnes) dome is a sight – and feat – of iconic proportions. At the Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland, the largest glass and steel structure to ever be lifted onto a cruise ship is a days-long process that takes months of planning. The installation also marks the next phase of work, when it all starts to come to life with the buildout of the neighborhood’s restaurants, bars and the deck-defying entertainment venue, the signature AquaTheater. In August 2025, Star debuts as the next combination of every vacation in Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida.
