April 2024 – Royal Caribbean and The Bahamas broke ground on the cruise line’s new Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau, The Bahamas. Opening in 2025, the first in the Royal Beach Club Collection will debut a memorable Bahamian beach day for vacationers and a unique public-private partnership in which Bahamians will own up to 49% equity.*

The steel cutting took place at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, where the two ships will be built. Pictured here are (from left to right) Jan Meyer, Managing Partner, Meyer Werft and Harri Kulovaara, EVP, Newbuild and Design, Royal Caribbean International.To celebrate the milestone, Royal Caribbean announced the names of the two new ships – Quantum of the Seas, set to debut in fall 2014, and Anthem of the Seas, which will follow in spring 2015.
