The recently completed construction of the first-of-its-kind vacation took place over the course of 900 days in Turku, Finland, starting with the first cut of steel in June 2021. August 2023 – Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas serves up flavors of all kinds, even those just for the kids. Part one of “Making an Icon: Creating Flavors for Everyone,” dives into the process to come up with the right blend of drinks across all eight neighborhoods. From over-the-top milkshakes to a walk-up champagne bar to coffee-based cocktails and more non-alcoholic options, see the brains behind the menus and experiences research and test all-new recipes, twists on favorites, glassware and more to create sips for every palate.

Royal Caribbean’s Making an Icon: Creating Show-Stopping Entertainment

October 2023 – It’s showtime on Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas. “Making an Icon: Creating Show-Stopping Entertainment” pulls back the curtain on what it takes to bring to life full-scale productions across four stages – air, ice, water and theater – live music from every genre, and activities for all ages in one vacation. The experts show and tell the details about the process, from designing the venues to casting and rehearsing with skateboarders, high divers and even the first cast of “The Wizard of Oz” at sea. More than five years in the making, the playbill of entertainment on the first-of-its-kind combination of every vacation is a show-stopping lineup for everyone.

A Sneak Peek at the Ways to Party on Utopia of the Seas

April 2024 – Royal Caribbean’s new Utopia of the Seas will get the party of all parties started with unmatched weekend energy when it debuts with 3-night weekend and 4-night weekday getaways from Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida, in July. The ways to party and make memories day and night span 20-plus bars and more hot spots, including the brand-new Caribbean bar, Pesky Parrot, with surprises in store; two casinos with more than 400 games to play, The Lime & Coconut at the center of the action on the lively pool deck, The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar; and even spots for the whole family like Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade and more.

February 2024 – The ultimate short getaway, Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas is setting the table for memories and weekend energy with more than 40 ways to dine and celebrate any occasion. The world of flavors in store for vacationers include a new, one-of-a-kind adventure that combines food, technology and a train to travel to any place and time, a debut omakase-inspired private experience at the signature Izumi and new convenient, casual spots for quick bites like The Spare Tire. Behind the architectural and engineering feat, and front and in center in the boldly reimagined neighborhood, is The Pearl.
