Icon of the Seas Sets Sail Fall 2023

June 2021 - A new, revolutionary era of cruising is setting sail in fall 2023 with the debut of Royal Caribbean International’s first Icon Class ship, Icon of the Seas. Construction is now underway on the cruise line’s first LNG-powered ship, which will include a lineup of other advanced environmental technologies and game-changing experiences and features for guests and crew. More details about the first of three Icon Class ships will be revealed at a future date.

June 2021 – Royal Caribbean marked the official start of construction on its first Icon Class ship at a steel-cutting ceremony in Turku, Finland on Monday, June 14. Debuting in fall 2023, the cruise line’s first of three LNG-powered (liquefied natural gas) ships will be named Icon of the Seas. With game-changing experiences and features as well as a lineup of other advanced environmental technologies, all to be revealed at a future date, the state-of-the-art ship is set to introduce a new era of cruising.
